Miscellaneous Complaint Procedure
SRPH students from time to time may come face to face with an issue that warrants the submission of a complaint. There are many categories of oversight and channels for routing "types" of complaints. Already available are paths where a student may submit a complaint regarding academic/disciplinary, professional conduct, discrimination, sexual harassment, student records, grades, or even financial aid issues. However, it became noted there could be "other" types of complaints where the student did not have a clear procedure to follow, and working with the HSC through the Student Services Administrative Council (SSAC), this Miscellaneous Complaint Policy (SRPH I.B.10) has been crafted and implemented. You can find the policy (along with all other policies) HERE.
Only those items allowable under the Miscellaneous Complaint Policy may be processed under this procedure. School administration realizes most times student complaints are handled as they surface, but in those times when a particular item may require additional process this new procedure exists. As you peruse the policy you will see reference to an informal versus formal process. Informal is when items (as previously mentioned) are handled and no further action is required. Formal process items are when a complaint rises to the next level, and is what this policy was created to address.
This policy also has as an added document the Miscellaneous Student Complaint Form, which is the document used to begin the complaint process.
