The mission of the Department of Instructional Technology and Distance Education is to help the faculty of the SRPH  make use of instructional technology , Web-based solutions and videoconferencing  to enhance teaching and learning for both traditional on-campus courses and distance education.

ITDE is designed for use by SRPH and TAMHSC to develop or evaluate the integration of technology in the curriculum. The ITDE also serves as a test bed for new technology applications in computing and education.

The ITDE is designed to help both, novice and seasoned users: from creating your first Blackboard Vista classroom, using PowerPoint, scanning a picture, or selecting the appropriate instructional system, to authoring sophisticated interactive hypermedia, incorporating digital video and audio in your class materials, creating interactive CD-ROMs and DVDs, or exploring Internet and videoconferencing solutions.

The staff within the Office of Distance Education is committed to making your experience here at the School a rewarding one. Using the latest in technology you can expect to receive not only technical support from the ODE but also web support, library support, course support, and student and faculty training support. Please navigate our website to learn about the history of distance education, the sites and students we serve, the faculty who teach our classes and the syllabi and other course support materials you'll need.
