The Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health is a nationally ranked, innovative school of public health.  This standing is reflected by its nationally recognized Prevention Research Center, National Science Foundation-supported Center for Health Organization Transformation, and USA Center for Rural Health Preparedness. This public health school emphasizes approaches to public health healthcare and health disparities from rural Texas to its largest cities, the nation, and the world.

The School offers students hands-on experience in health agencies, healthcare organizations, and industry addressing the needs of diverse populations. Graduates obtain professional employment in rural and urban settings at impressive community health agencies and healthcare systems across the nation, leading corporations, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and other national and state agencies, and foreign countries.
