We are pleased to announce that the Office of Research will soon release the 2018 RFA for the Delta Omega Research Enhancement and Development Initiative (REDI) seed funding program in January 2018.
- Be REDI to propose innovative research projects that will lead to increased external funding!
- Be REDI to collaborate on inter-disciplinary projects!
- Be REDI to prepare and submit an application within approximately 2 months of the RFA’s release!
Purpose: The REDI initiative awards small intramural grants to generate pilot data in support of applications with the expectation that the awardees will apply for extramural grant funds.
Eligibility: All SPH principal faculty, with intent to collaborate across departments or other campus units are invited to submit an application. Preference is given to new investigators (investigator who have completed their terminal degree in the last 5 years) at the assistant professor level to help initiate their research programs and established investigators at higher academic ranks who wish to transition to a new area of research or pursue an innovative opportunity. NOTE: Prior REDI awardees are not eligible to apply for the 2018 round of funding.
Funding Parameters: Up to four awards will be made in 2018 with a maximum limit of $25,000 per grant award for up to 12 months. An applicant may only be the primary PI on one submission.
